An exceptional player and composer, singer Alicia Hansen is that rare talent who really doesn’t do the same thing twice…. The opening progression on the first track, Disintegrating Heart, a clearly jazzy riff that locks right into your head, leads into Hansen’s crystal clear and warm vocals as strings flitter in and out of the mix and then the rhythm section locks in swinging. The result is akin to Radiohead jamming with outsider groove groups such as Laika, Ruby or Lamb. All 11 tunes are equally meticulously crafted. read article
